PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Jim Schneider, LEED AP, is Executive Director of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Mountain States chapter, which covers Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. As a regional executive director, Schneider works with PCI members, architects, designers, building owners, and educators in assisting with project planning.
Schneider has been the manager, external communications in the marketing department at the PCI and was editor of PCI’s Ascent magazine. He has been the editor of several business publications, including Eco-Structure, Plumbing Engineer, PHC News, and Metalmag. He also is a regular contributor to several national and regional industry publications, including Retrofit, Retrofit Home, Smart Buildings Technology, Colorado Design & Construction, and Utah Construction & Design.
Schneider holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. He is a LEED AP and is passionate about efficient and sustainable design.
Established by the United States Congress, NIBS’ mission is to serve the public interest by advancing building science and technology to improve the built environment.
