Alice Yates is ASHRAE’s Director of Government Affairs where she oversees policy development, advocacy, and engagement. She oversees government outreach both domestically and abroad, at national and sub-national levels. Alice serves on an executive staff team at ASHRAE providing strategic direction, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering a high-performing staff. Alice has over 25 years of experience including serving as a political appointee at GSA, a senior legislative advisor in the U.S. Senate, a real estate and economic development manager, and policy analyst. Alice earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s of Science in Technology and Policy from MIT.
