SUMMARY:The Future of Work: Leveraging Technology for Business Growth
DESCRIPTION:It’s no secret that there’s room for improvement when it comes to women in leadership positions across the country. \nAccording to a piece by Forbes\, women represented 58.4% of the U.S. workforce as of September 2022\, but only held 35% of senior leadership positions. What’s more\, Forbes reported companies with women executives are 30% more likely to outperform other companies. \nGiven today’s emerging technology tools – namely artificial intelligence\, automation\, and data analytics – women executives have increased power to drive business innovation and growth. \nThis is especially important\, as technology continues to shape the business landscape of the built environment\, and it’s important for women leaders to understand and leverage these tools to stay competitive. \nIn this session\, Sandra Benson\, Vice President\, Federal Relations & Strategic Partnerships with Procore Technologies\, and Nancy Novak\, Chief Innovation Officer with Compass Datacenters\, will discuss how to harness emerging technologies to grow business and lead change.

SUMMARY:WEB Virtual Series: Advancing Women to Achieve Parity in Leadership
DESCRIPTION:Women in the built environment must break through what keeps them from advancing. Equality within executive leadership and management is where women across our industry should be headed. These monthly virtual meetings will lead up to the second annual Women Executives in Building Summit on May 5-6\, in Nashville\, TN. \nWho Should Attend: All female C-Suite executives in the building industry\, from association executives to women–owned and operated trade businesses. \nEvent format: This month we will have Nancy Novak\, Chief Innovation Officer\, Compass Datacenters and Sandra Benson\, WW Head of Engineering\, Construction and Real Estate for Amazon Web Services as the keynote speakers. They will share statistics and their message on how we can move the needle and continue to place more cracks that glass ceiling. SUMMARY:WEB Virtual Series: Current Strategies that Will Help Increase Diversity and Inclusion
DESCRIPTION:Women in trades are daring to confront stereotypes that are still holding women back. Powerful women defying the odds in a predominantly male industry need to be aligned to increase awareness of labor shortages and lack of diversity. Most importantly\, we must come together to reach a more diverse audience\, including the young women and girls who may not consider this as a career path. \nThese monthly virtual meetings will lead up to the second annual Women Executives in Building Summit on May 5-6\, 2021 in Nashville\, TN. \nWho Should Attend: All female C-Suite executives in the building industry\, from association executives to women–owned and operated trade businesses. \nEvent format: There are no panels or programming. This is a conversation with other C-Suite female executives in a safe\, thought-provoking environment. The May session focused on productivity and serving your respective customers in a time of crisis.
