Omar A. Jaradat

Dr. Omar Jaradat is a Vice President and Structures Director at Moffatt & Nichol. He is a 35-year port practitioner, researcher, technologist, and subject matter expert in performance-based resilient design for marine structures and buildings. His experience includes climate adaptation, technology advancement, planning, design, and construction practices based on research and engineering performance codes and standards.

Dr. Jaradat participates in national technical committees for industry code standards. He is chair of ASCE/COPRI Piers and Wharves Standards committee, chair of Port Certification Program; member of the ASCE-61 Standards committee on Seismic Design of Piers & Wharves; and USA Principal Representative for PIANC MarCom Working Group 225: Seismic Design Guidelines for Port Structure.
