Stephanie Santell is a Senior Climate Advisor in the Climate Adaptation Program within EPA’s Office of Policy, bringing together people, organizations, and new ideas to tackle climate change. For almost a decade, she’s worked to develop and advance climate adaptation initiatives across EPA’s programs and with external stakeholders. Stephanie previously served as the Office of Water’s Climate Change Coordinator, helping to shape their overarching vision for establishing new climate policies and programs in the water management space. Stephanie has been with EPA since 2009, working within various Clean Water Act Programs and performing several cross-cutting policy roles pertaining to nutrient pollution, PFAS, environmental finance, and hazard mitigation, in addition to climate change. Stephanie was awarded a B.S. in Biology with honors from the University of Rochester, and an MPP in Environmental Policy from American University in Washington, D.C.
Established by the United States Congress, NIBS’ mission is to serve the public interest by advancing building science and technology to improve the built environment.
